Job Overview:
The Automotive Service Manager is responsible for overseeing daily service operations to ensure exceptional customer service, efficient work processes, and a profitable service department. This role involves managing a team of technicians, service advisors, and support staff while working closely with other departments to maintain a high level of performance and coordination throughout the dealership.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage service department employees, including technicians, service advisors, and support staff, to ensure efficient and effective operations.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction throughout the service experience, from appointment scheduling and vehicle drop-off to final vehicle delivery, maintaining open communication and delivering exceptional service.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with other departmental managers to ensure efficient coordination and communication between departments.
  • Ensure compliance with all laws, regulations, and dealership policies related to service department operations, including safety, environmental, and customer service standards.
  • Provide guidance, training, and support to service department employees to improve performance, develop skills, and enhance career growth opportunities.
  • Monitor service department performance through the use of key performance indicators and take corrective action as needed to improve results.
  • Manage inventory levels and ensure accurate record-keeping to minimize loss and promote profitability.
  • Handle customer concerns, follow-ups, and communications with the service department.

Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of experience managing an automotive service department, mechanic shop, or related operation.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a team.
  • Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of automotive systems, diagnostics, and repair procedures.
  • Proficient computer skills, including knowledge of automotive service management software.
  • Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with customers, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Pay depends on experience.
  • Certified Mechanic
